& MERCIER

year, the Baume & Mercier icon, Hampton, slips out of its evening
gown and into sports gear.

EBEL
1911 BTR Automatic Chronograph
One
year after the successful launch of the 1911 BTR, Ebel is enriching
this line with a fourth automatic proprietary movement: Calibre
139.
The 1911 BTR models feature the charismatic hexagonal case of the
original 1911 line, thickened and enlarged to a diameter of 44.5
mm. The new design also highlights the five functional and ornamental
screws, the fully integrated case and wristband, rugged push-buttons
surrounded by a polished/brushed steel notched guard and an equally
emblematic screw-locked crown. The chronograph functions are displayed
through apertures rather than counters.
This new version has created subtle contrasts on the steel bezel
with polished sides and sunbrushed top; incorporating an engraved
black chromium-plated tachymetric scale and designing a daring matt
black skeleton dial revealing a stippled bridge and various rarely
visible mechanisms such as the red three-arm chronograph minute
hand and the black three-arm small seconds hand at 9 o'clock. Meanwhile,
a sculptural painted hour circle enhanced with dots coated in Super-LumiNova,
as are the hour and minute hands, ensures optimal readability whatever
the time or place.
