Montblanc launched the Mahatma Gandhi Limited
Edition Writing Instruments, honouring the legendary
Indian apostle of peace who advocated non-violence
in creating an independent Indian nation. Two outstanding
Montblanc writing instruments - the Mahatma Gandhi Limited
Edition 241 fountain pen and the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial
Edition 3000 have been created to pay tribute to the wisdom,
vision and boundless energy that the Mahatma displayed.
At the launch held in Mumbai, Lutz Bethge (CEO,
Montblanc), Tushar Gandhi and Dilip Doshi (CMD Entrack
Group of Companies), unveiled the Commemorative Limited
Edition Collection. Bethge presented the limited edition fountain pen to Tushar Gandhi on the occasion, along with a cheque
of Rs 72 lakhs for the Mahatma Gandhi Foundation. The
Foundation will use the donation to build a shelter and school
for rescued child labourers. The Mahatma Gandhi Limited
Edition 241 has an 18 ct gold, rhodium-plated nib displaying an
intricate, hand-engraved depiction of Gandhi, setting off with
his bamboo stave in hand on the famous Salt March. Created
as a fountain pen and a rollerball, Mahatma Gandhi Limited
Edition 3000 incorporates the signatures of its sumptuous
counterpart, the Mahatma Gandhi Limited Edition 241. |
